As Christians our job is to try to live out Jesus’ command to impact the world through love and the Gospel. But, many times the problems and challenges of the world can seem so overwhelming that it seems pointless to try. We have to remember that our job isn’t to conquer or solve the world’s problems at once. If we can just start by doing what seems to be little things, in Jesus’ hands it can have a great impact. When confronted with 5,000 hungry people, it would have been easy for the lad with two fish and five loaves to think that his contribution was too small to make a difference. But, his willingness to contribute the little that he had was exactly what Jesus needed to solve the problem. So, the next time you’re confronted with a challenge, just remember that a little can go a long way. Sometimes A little patience, a little faith, a little love on our part is all Jesus is asking for
"And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.
He said, Bring them hither to me. And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full. And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children." (Matthew 14:17-21)
